Perfection might be a virtue for some people… but in reality, how much do we really love perfection? Anne Hathaway is seemingly perfect, kind, talented, smart, and beautiful, yet all the gossip columns absolutely hate her. When Jennifer Lawrence tripped over her Dior dress to accept her Oscar, everyone loved her more for it. Reese Witherspoon's drunken debacle actually ended up improving her image rather than destroying it.
I'm using these celebrities as an example of trying to have that perfect image. How much do we really love perfection…when it's there, we hate it. When someone shows their human-ness, their imperfections, we love them for it. It shows us they're like us, imperfect, and deserving of love.
So why do we tend to be so hard on ourselves and our work? Maybe just showing that we're human makes us more beautiful.
100% agree! And it applies to people, too. You can’t be in love with someone who’s “perfect.”

i agree that showing our humane side is more fashionable these days:) thats why blogs are so popular:)
This is definitely interesting because I think everyone wants to be perfect to a degree. I know that when I am reminded that ‘perfect’ people are human I love them the more for it. It’s a twisted logic, but it makes sense… and this was a great post to help my perfectionism when it comes to my blog! Thank you! x
what?! someone needs to tell me more on the Anne Hathaway thing like asap. great article by the way 😉
