\nOne of the biggest pieces of blogging advice is to have a “strong voice” or to be “unique” or to “stand out.” Advice easier given than put into practice. However, why is this advice so important? Why does it it stand the test of time? Well, because in order to influence the world, you have to set yourself apart from the standard, the status quo. Just saying the things that have been said a million times, posting what others have posted, being like your heroes, can only get you so far with your blogs, and that's ok. Getting to that next level requires finding something, anything that makes you unique.<\/p>\n

So find that piece that you can do that no one else can. Refine it, make it the center of your brand and your content, and don't be afraid that no one else is doing the same thing (yet).<\/p>\n
